Baby Posh Spice Baby

It's Halloween but I'm missing out on all the parties this year as I'll be in Sydney for the weekend! Not stopping me from celebrating just a little, Baby Posh Spice style, like if they were cross bred...

vintage versace dress from kenji tokyo (favourite vintage store), opening ceremony x adidas shoes, sretsis bag, A land nail tattoos

Christmas came early, my boy got me these opening ceremony x adidas bad boys!! VOMM. Just been living in them since, goes with anything I sweeeeeaaaarrrrr.

On another note, I know you guys will be a little forgiving about going over the edges with the nails! I have to say that these are the easiest type of nail deco I have used and I've tried all types of stickers and pens... I got them from A land in Korea and I like how you can use them on your skin as well as they're just mini temporary tattoos!

Don't despair there are tons of things on ebay and here, on rad nail's site, who have super cool nail art ideas that incorporate your fingers too! I'm also dying to get some Hex Nail Jewelry which is next level shizzz. Has anyone tried to make their own temporary tattoos? Please share!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Lepidoptera

silky butterfly dress etsy, dog tapestry bag from Sydney's Paddy's markets (sorry guys I did buy the pups instead of the kittens I feel like my pup would hate me if I didn't and kittys always get all the love anyways), boots off etsy, hello kitty bracelet from a vending machine

A few weeks ago, I found a butterfly sitting in the grass outside my house, it was orange and black, about the size of my palm. I prodded it with a blade of grass and it didn't move so I assumed it was dead and caught it in a tea cup. I planned to pin it into a box frame when I had the time so it stayed in the teacup for a few days in my room. On the third day it started fluttering around in the cup, so I set it free. The next day it came back and stood on our back door for the day. My grandmother always said that animals or insects that hang around are those who have once loved you,  who have passed on but miss you and come back to see you.

Above are some images from BibliOdyssey (one of my favorite sites, it's just like a cabinet of curiosities); The Royal Digital Library of Belgium has a small album of delicate and charming gouache insect sketches produced in China in the 19th century.

Nothing like a bit of nyan cat nostalgia I hope you appreciated the alliteration right thur.  I promise it's safe to listen to the song, it's kidnap kid! A little delusional, my bum physical aches from sitting in front of diablo for 3 hours straight.

I bet you can guess which movie I'm from (easy)! I'm sure we can all dream of some sophisticated no fail - computerized dressing system, but where's the fun in that!? I like a little wrong, a little ugly... forgetting glossy 'trends.' What do you think folks, describe your ultimate wardrobe/dressing system, I'd love to hear some of your ideas.

Speaking of computers, I think if everyone got f.lux the web would be a friendlier and warmer place, literally. If you haven't gotten it already it's a software that adjusts the your computer screen to the time of day and lighting condition of your room to improve your sleeping habits or just makes things on screen look better. I accidentally disabled it for a few minutes and things got real ugly real fast. The best thing? It's automatic. ;) So try it out, let me know if it works well/doesn't do it for you!

Then It's White

Recently, I've lived my life these chunky brown boots; laneway, das racist, op shopping, you name it, they have been there yo! Besides getting too comfortable in my shoes, I have started a jewelry design/silversmith course at Fio for the next 8 weeks. So far I've made a little jigsaw piece thing and a ring! It's been exciting and enlightening, learning all the processes and finding out how much patience and work goes into each stage. Maybe I'll have some images of Matt's awesome studio and us working with Maddy on our pieces next time!

On a side note, I like long skirts A WHOLE LOT, however 'Amish' (according to certain mutual friend) they may be...?

Latest Thrifts

mohair crochet sweater, grunge purple skirt, glitter rose skirt (so glitzy it drove my photobooth crazy) all trifted, fur collar by initial

Nothing makes me feel more like myself than reveling in people's unwanted treasures. "I appreciate you ugly sparkly skirt, you will no longer feel abandoned and lonely." Yes, I telepathically communicate with potential wardrobe candidates during my op shopping adventures. This week I have been scouring all the op shops I can find in Hong Kong and ended up with 3 huge bags + ran out of money for food. But it was darn worth it! I have posted some on my shop, hope you likey! If there's anything that you are after in particular, let me know and I will hunt around...

Auto Root

mohair cropped sweater etsy, overalls from me and george in wan chai, pink daisy earrings from mongkok markets

My charger on my laptop stopped working today! While I was getting it fixed, it was so good to get out to the park (and dress up as an 8 year old while I'm at it). We hit up some op shops the other day where we struck gold! Totally cheap and cheerful, we were in heaven surrounded by that familiar smell in your grandma's attic, rummage worthy racks to the point of aching arms. Ended up carting two full bags of goodies home and it was straight into the wash.

How eerie are those models of playgrounds by Chinese manufacturers??
