DIY: Fleecy Set

Okay I'm addicted to iMovie! So here's another short DIY tutorial viddy for a cropped sweater and skirt ensemble. I was walking through Spotlight the other day and came across this awesome unicorn fleece material, obviously too dangerous to be children's sleepwear :O...sorry kids.

It's heating up in Aus but for those of you who are on the flip side, perfect timing to get some warm comfy stuff together. For fellow soon-to-be beach bunnies, you can even choose a lighter type of material for this project (you can do whatever you like)! Quite the versatile trans - seasonal pattern I feel ;p. Enjoy!

Just as a note I got about:

  • 1.5m of material
  • 0.5m of ribbing
  • 1m elastic

This was just enough and allowed room for mistakes and redos! *But it all depends on the width of the material you choose as well. I also decided to keep the warning message, DO NOT USE FOR CHILDREN'S SLEEPWEAR, I reckon it makes it. I will also be careful around flames and thangs, okay, yes. I'll never get over ponies...

Anyway, I hope you have a crack at it, I'd love to see how it turns out for you! :)

Winter calls for indulging in the naughtiest treats you can imagine. But paying a visit to Lady Lamington more than a few times a week can be tough on those pennies.

Cheating with Lindt, we made the ultimate chilli hot chocolate and waffles concoction. You can make your own by melting down any block of chocolate with a little butter, flavored ones are funnest then just stir in a few cups of milk! However, if you have more time on your hands go the spiced hot cocolate recipe here and tell me how it goes.

What I wore to the outposts's, I used to skate once 8 last night; the boards were impressive and all round super fun night, watching boys on the ramps to The Kramers, Sewers and Six Ft Hick as well as a spot of dangerous drunken shopping in Winn Lane (evil tactics I tell you, get me at my weakest moment). Catch all the action via my instagram (@wenopia)!

Point of no return

wine angora cape by initial, vintage velvet halter dress (underneath), damir doma thigh high creeper boots, pentacle pendent from etsy, claw bracelet from japan.

Today I feel like some kind of nordic wood elf, aspiring to be a mage or perhaps I have been playing too much Skyrim. Completing quests, exploring caves, slaying dragons with sorcery and enchanted weapons, sure is a life for me!

Anywho, my new Damir Doma creeper boots have been my most satisfying purchase as of late, they are truly the boots of my wildest dreams - form fitting and platformed. I have always been looking for TIGHT thigh highs but have been underwhelmed with ill-fitting options. Hence, it was love at first sight, my heart fell out of my throat! I thought I'd have trouble integrating them into my wardrobe enough to do them justice due to the designer's tailored and minimal aesthetic but I think playing on his dichotomy of looking fragile but acting strong is enough to pull me through...

P.S. As you may have noticed I have added a link within section in my posts, it's really entertaining and totally embarrassing looking back on some baby panache posts. So what's your favorite?

I had no idea it would be this warm but this is my new emerald wool coat from etsy! It's got a (feels like pony hair) leopard print collar; perfect for Japan at the end of the year. Yes it is a while away, but I tend to purchase for the futureeee! It's a sickness.

I don't write much usually, but you may have noticed there is a translation widget on the sidebar now for all you french babes out there who requested it! :)

Hope you have all had a great week and it's been going fast for you...for SPLENDOUR TIME!!!
